Bill Bosler celebrates the release of his new album, Dulcimer Daydreams, with a free live concert on October 24. Doors open at 3:30 PM, with music beginning at 4:00 PM and continuing for about an hour. The concert features Bill on hammered dulcimer with an ensemble of area musicians: Kevin Joiner on guitar and backup vocals; Jetta Cruse on bass and backup vocals; Andrew Osano on bass and cello; Liesl Mom on violin; David Mom on violin, banjo and mandolin; John Potthast on mandolin; Doug Harsch on guitar and backup vocals; and Scott Caviness on guitar. Dulcimer Daydreams moves between quiet, contemplative pieces and energetic old-time-inspired music. The album includes original tunes, three old-time fiddle standards reworked for dulcimer and string band, two familiar covers, and “Sylvia's Perce,” a heartfelt tribute to Bill's mother. Admission is free, with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.

Yellow Creek Mennonite Church is hosting its 21st annual Community Carnival on Saturday, October 24 from 4-7pm. Activities include hayrides, family photos, games and prizes, a goody walk, Bingo, jumper, and balloon art. A fire truck from the Harrison Township Fire Department will be available for tours. Free concessions include hot dogs, popcorn, and ice cream. Admission and all activities are free. Please, no scary masks or costumes. Attendees are invited to bring a non-perishable food item, which we will collect and donate to The Center in Nappanee to help meet the community's needs. Haunted Walk Through the Woods is returning for its 7th year at the Elkhart Environmental Center this Halloween season! This year, the event will be held over three days: - Thursday, October 22nd | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Kids’ Night) - Friday, October 23rd | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM - Saturday, October 24th | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Our 2026 event will feature: - A kid-friendly decorated trail (open every night) - A scary, wooded trail with trail actors (open Friday & Saturday nights) - LIVE music by That Homegrown Halloween Show - Local food vendors - Local artisan vendors - A kids’ costume parade Kids’ Night is Thursday, October 22nd! We will have our kid-friendly trail decorated for our younger audience (our scary trail will only be open Friday and Saturday) and there will be a costume parade at 6:30 PM that kids of all ages are invited to participate in. Advance registration is recommended, but not required.
